Success at the SIRHA exhibition

Hungary‘s largest food industry gathering, the Salon Internationale de la Restauration, de l'Hotellerie et de l'Alimentation, also known in short as the SIRHA exhibition, took place last week. Our company was present at the event with a booth, and we also organized a conference, with significant press coverage. The success was a result of the cooperation of the Food Safety Business Unit, the marketing department and the department of business development. We would like to express our thanks to all of the colleagues involved!

Hungary’s largest food industry gathering, the SIRHA exhibition was held again between February 7th and 9th at Hungexpo. WESSLING Hungary Kft. participated at the event as an exhibitor, as well as the organizer of an important professional conference.

In addition to the usual posters and information materials, a TV set was also installed in our booth, showing company videos and presentations, we also presented the HappyFish project, and we welcomed interested parties with a little quiz, the so-called WESSLING trivia, and the questions were answered by a large number of people for the various small gifts.

In the presentation of the booth, as well as during the game, we focused on the analysis of packaging materials, and this topic was at the center of our conference. Our meeting titled It matters what you pack in drew almost 100 participants, far beyond our expectations. The conference was opened by Dr. Mónika Melegh, head of the Fod Safety Business Unit, and presentations were given on behalf of WESSLING by Dr. Tamás János Szigeti and Gábor Bordós. The relevance of the topic is indicated by the fact that the article of Laboratorium.hu was cited by both mainstream media and the professional press. Our partners were also informed about this in newsletters.

A few words about the SIRHA exhibition:

Sirha Budapest, held every other year, is the largest domestic exhibition of the food industry, the horeca sector, gastronomy and the packaging industry, with nearly 400 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors. In the two large pavilions of Hungexpo, bakeries, restaurants, pastry shops and hotels, as well as packaging companies were present, the latest trends and innovations were introduced. This is where the Hungarian Finals of the Bocuse d’Or, the Sirha Budapest Dessert Tournament and the International Catering Cup were held, among other things.

This is why it made us extremely proud that our conference was attended by such a large number of people.
