Our laboratory has won the Superbrands Business Award in 2020, just like it did last year. This is a major recognition on the part of the market, of which we are especially proud during these critical times because it is proof of how our company is not only standing on stable foundations but is also developing and improving continuously and this is recognised by the market as well.
As it is widely known, the best of the best consumer and business brands are rewarded by the international Superbrands programme, a trademark symbolising high quality. Nomination is based on strictly professional considerations – candidates cannot submit applications or requests to participate – and the final decisions on the awardees are made, after a screening process of multiple phases, by a committee of 43 independent marketing and business management experts, year after year.
WESSLING Hungary Kft. wins the Superbrands Business Award for the 3rd time this year. This is all the more important for us because in addition to our excellent professional reputation and market leader status it also proves that even during a crisis that has shaken the international economy we have managed to continue as a strong and continuously renewing company, one that makes efforts to benefit the society as a whole as well.
We provide our partners with quick and reliable services in environmental protection, food and health, in the form of laboratory tests as well as consultancy services. The range of our services is continuously expanding (including GMO tests, genome sequencing, packaging material tests, analyses of cosmetics products, microplastic and asbestos measurements and even radio-analytic tests of waters – as our most recently introduced service).
In our up to date WESSLING Knowledge Centre in Újpest we carry out tests for our commercial partners and, most notably, participate in nation-wide and international research programmes, we cooperate with the most important Hungarian universities and offer educational programmes for secondary schools, publish a scientific periodical, operate a public website and organise high profile conferences.

About the Superbrands programme:
It’s been twenty five years now since marketing and communication experts launched the programme in Great Britain, to highlight outstanding brands and show examples for others to follow. The programme has come to be known across the globe by now, with the Superbrands title indicating something special, something outstanding in nearly 90 countries worldwide. The jury panel plays a crucial role and has a special responsibility, therefore only widely recognised professionals may be elected to the panel (an independent decision making body performing their work as a civil society function). The now thirteen years old Business Superbrands programme rewards the best of the business sector’s (B2B) brands, that is, businesses in Hungary providing their services not primarily for consumers but businesses and other organisations. The list of some 4000 brands put together on the basis of the Bisnode database and recommendations from major domestic professional organisations and federations is presented to the panel after financial and technical/professional pre-screening. This list includes the most profitable domestic businesses alongside smaller businesses recommended by industrial chambers, associations and professional organisations of the various sectors, that are regarded as the best representatives of business and as having outstanding domestic communication and brand building practices.
